"Weve only known cats to be in the public areas , not in the play areas.
Weve only been to a few clubs though"
Apparently in some clubs it is in both public and play areas, not private rooms though. |

"What's the point in not being allowed to use a camera in a club if they have CCTV in play areas. Doesn't seem right to us not in play areas. "
So people are safe and others can't be falsely accused.
I have seen people removed from a club because of unwanted attention pushed on others and the proof was on CCTV.
I have however never seen cameras in the private rooms.
Also bear in mind CCTV isn't for posting all over FAB like phone cameras can be used for. |

I believe that is the reason for the cctv, to detect crime or bad behaviour. This is a legitimate purpose. Some clubs also use covert CCTV for this purpose.
As a non club regular, or not for many years anyway, this was never a thing, other than the car park or maybe reception. The club we last visited didn’t even use computers and everything was stored in a filing cabinet!
I do get that times have moved on though.
I don’t think that I am comfortable visiting a club that records cctv in areas where sex is or is likely to be happening.
Data breaches happen and really are a thing. I’m sure that the clubs make efforts to prevent this and abide by the laws, however they are not immune.

Pandoras (Leeds) definitely has CCTV that covers the entrance and bar but I don’t think it covers the play areas. I could be wrong. Most will have something covering the entrance. To me, it’s standard security, but shouldn’t replace decent staffing. On a slight tangent, Purple Mamba has a play room where you can activate the CCTV camera and share your exploits with the TV’s in the club |

The playroom activation sounds like good fun for those that are into starring in their own porn flick throughout the club. I’m guessing that there are a good few who enjoy this as well as others watching and knowing it’s live! |
