Watermarking my own photos

Hi all, it has come to light that my photo has been taken from fab, the fabswingers watermark removed, then it was used on a site for escorts. As you can imagine i was not impressed, but these things happen when you risk having pics online.

So i removed all pics and put a watermark on them. I uploaded some today. Same watermark on every photo. Half were approved half not approved.

So can i upload with watermarks or not?

I looked at previous posts but contradicting advice given.

TIA

Watermarks are useless. Takes seconds to remove with any reasonable photo editing software.

I've seen threads before that stated that Admin wouldn't remove pics that were watermarked with the profile name. I guess they would just have to sure that it wasn't a website watermark, so I guess they might have issues with symbols/icons?

We had some stolen a few years ago, so watermark all our pictures and videos now.

Granted if you have the time and the software, watermarks can be masked but it takes time and a lot of effort.

It will take less than 30 seconds.

Cheapest software will do it. Some is free. Watermarks are useless.

You need a physical water mark . Like a piece of paper or tag. Anything software based can be removed in seconds by online software. .

incognito mode ;-)

Your watermarks are very tiny could be removed/covered easily, and they are not unique to you,@ All rights reserved could be anyone

Maybe use your profile name as the watermark,I use bright colours on mine and admin allow this no problem

Use the water marks to cover the entire photo so that they can’t be cropped out

Take a look at ours for an idea

In the photo rules it states that pictures can’t be watermarked.

So what are the actual rules?

You can't upload a pic that has a watermark from another site. If you want to add your name over your pic that is allowed

This copied from the rules.

"No watermarks. Photo can't be watermarked. If your photo is watermarked either by this site or another site, it will be rejected. We can only accept original photos."

Clarification and an update is required I think.

It is clarified in your copy of the rules

Adding your own watermark is not from this or another site

It's how that rule is applied, we watermarked a couple of pics and we refused yet were no different to all the others that have been approved. Seems there could be some confusion at approval level and luck of draw which mod approves whether the pic is approved or not.

Kind of annoying when you report, and provide links to the originals, people using fake pictures but they are ignored.

Of course mistakes will be made but if you think a pic has been wrongly rejected, leave it in your gallery and ask Admin to review for you from the contact button
