Why has the government allowed us to meet others yet Fab still doesn’t allow into this section?

Surely we are old enough and sensible to act accordingly ?

Old London Town

I agree in part. We can meet for socials outside already, then inside from next month. But from 21st June, according to Boris, all restrictions will be lifted.

What can be done so that we can arrange meets from 21st June? It is just 9 weeks away and many of us need notice to get babysitters etc.

Also worth noting there is nothing in LAW regarding distancing.

I think this last year has punctured any optimism I had in this

Agreed, don't understand why there isn't at least a timeline as to when this site can function more openly

Considering the amount of events that are being publicised for after June 21st, both in statuses and on the forums, it would seem sensible to open the meets section of the forums back up for socials and future events.

Perhaps not "Meet today" just yet though?

Things take planning and arrangements so now clubs and pubs opening, surely meets can be reopened?

It would be good to be able to organise a group social for later when things start to happen again.

We’ve got an event booked for July and would usually post on the ‘events’ board but it’s still locked.

Surely it could be opened now with the stipulation of events only after June 21?

It would seem not

They don’t seem even open to discussion

It does seem a bit odd that future events are allowed to be discussed in the Clubs forum

I disagree.

I think it should stay shut until the time is right.

They are being sensible and cautious for thier website activities.

If they were to reopen up meets with a potential change to outdoor social meet only then we all know that could lead to extended play.

This could be seen as having a hand in that particular process which in turn is contributing to the spread of a virus thats still present.

It needs to be an all activities able scenario going forward.

Not the general meets section then but the ‘events’ section so clubs etc can promote things they’ve got after June?

Sadly not everyone would act accordingly just like those who have been meeting whilst the first lockdown and I'm sure it's still going on so this is a way to prevent further and protecting its users of the site
