Hi, can anyone help us? When you upload photos to your profile you get the option to make the pic public, friends-only or private. We use private to upload photos we can then choose to share with anyone we're chatting with.
When you upload videos there are the same three options. In the same way we'd like to upload some vids to share with people as we choose when messaging - but vids aren't listed in 'attach photo' to a message and there isn't an 'attach video' option.
Can anyone help us with this, or is it just not possible? Thanks in advance  |

I don’t think it’s possible… presuming mail infrastructure would not cope well with the additional data being sent across and would require significant upgrade to achieve this.
What you could do is make the vids private, and via the message say if they would like to see a vid then accept friend request, then make your video available in friends vid gallery for some time….
It may put some people off. Or just keep your videos active in Friends album, and let people have access via friend request like you are doing now. |

The big issue is though when you upload a video the text next to private does say you can send in a message
This is just because they re-used the code for photo upload for the video functionality and didn’t change it |

not sure if it is even possible i have a small number of people on my friends list where i can see their private photos and them mine but i cannot see their private or public videos as i am not a site supporter   |

Yeah I’ve uploaded it to my private gallery, for important reason, but don’t seem to be able to watch it within the message even though it shows up."
You can only send videos that have been added to your gallery. Once it is added to the message you can't watch it yourself from the message but the recipient can. |
