I'd only be happy with this if it was optional. We've been on sites where comments are allowed, people can be viciously unkind, I'd opt out

The other site has this. It’s actually a nice feature, you can delete comments, and blocked people can’t see/comment

Yes I liked this feature on that site too. You can choose not to allow comments if I remember rightly?
