Pansexual sexual identity option please.....

Im pretty sure that there are more sexual identities other than just:
Heterosexual, homosexual or bisexual.....
As someone who classes themselves as Pansexual I hate having to put Bisexual just because there isn't the option
I'm sure there are others that feel the same? |
Reply privately (thread closed by moderator) | |
I feel the same way.
I felt quite uncomfortable having to compromise with bi.
The whole thing is far broader than one or the other.
Can there be other options? |

Please add Hetero-flexible to that. A lot of people are happy to have incidental contact with the same pink bits during a multi person meet but are not attracted to same-sex and are not "curious" about it either. |

There are over 300 genders. Can they all be added? |

Totally agree. And when it comes to gender, at least add the most commonly identified like non-binary and trans rather than the outdated terms currently available. |

Just highlights the absurdity of all the made up, off the hoof language. |

Pan here aswell. It would be nice to have the options updated. |

Or maybe a box that displays
"Please Ask!" In the sensuality field.
So then you're not having conform, and you can either explain more on your profile, or by message to those that ask.
I just pick straight as it is simpler than explaining what I'm attracted to.

Not too sure what the issue is here? There are lots of people out there who identify as non-binary or trans.

I'd guess it could be difficult to include every single variation. Like a lot of things, the majority is used. Could use your profile to get whatever further information you feel is required?
Possibly a more workable solution would be to remove that option or have it so it can be left blank.

Trans is already there. The latest fashion of 'non binary' doesnt merit a change to the site |

You should try identifying as someone with a sense of humour slightly more advanced than Piers Morgan’s. |

Interesting that you consider it a fashion. Ah well, that's where our views of the world will never align so no point in continuing the discussion.
All the best.

Trans is already there but lumped in with TV. Transvestite and Cross dressers aren't the same as trans.
TV and cd are valid but to put us all in the same group does us all a disservice. And as for the antiquated views being espoused on here, shame on you for being so disrespectful |

The gender options should definitely be expanded as long as it accompanies biological sex. I know that many people's attractions go beyond these days but for the vast majority of people, it still comes to just stripping it back to biological sex and one question, have you a cock or vagina?
There is no reason why the site can't be updated to reflect both sex and gender options. |

No, not the same, that’s the entire point of this post. Bisexuality refers to being attracted to men and woman (2 = bi) whereas the OP is advocating for the addition of pansexuality as it means you are open to all gender identities. |

Which is basically bisexual.
As there are clearly only 2 genders. Until we started making some up |

Gender is a social construct. It's all made up.
I believe what you are referring to is biological sex which is entirely different to gender.

No, not in the slightest, as male and female are definitions of biological sex. It might be worthwhile going and looking into the difference between gender and biological sex. Then you'll understand my comment.
