Why do verifications disappear when the person leaves the site, why cant it like tge forums change to user no longer on site. Ive had 2 recent verifications dissaper because of this amd now my profile looks crappier.

They always have. A verification from 'unlos' would be pointless.

Everyone loses them at times when people leave. The summary stays the same though.

Why would the verification be pointless? To me that don't make sense, a verification is a verification even if the user is no longer on site.

I asked the same question 2years ago from my old profile either here or on fabguys and the reply was that it was down to GDPR and when a user leaves, fab has to remove all data, but forum data is retained? Shouldn't that be deleted too?

Comments in a forum differ from a verification.

The purpose of a verification is to confirm that you met someone and that they're real and the gender they claim, more than specific TripAdvisor style feedback.

If you can't see who left it then it becomes redundant as there'd potentially be suspicion that it had been left by a fake profile created just to get that green tick, or provide a fictitious history.

Is it really a big deal if some words on a screen vanish? Sure, they're nice memories, but not going to guarantee any future meets.

Having the verification as in what was said is more meaningful and informative than just a summary. The summary doesnt give an insight into the interaction. Leave the words and the date the rest can be removed so theres no GDPR issue there.

The words are pointless and worthless to anyone viewing your profile if they aren't linked to a specific profile. They could have been created by AI.

If I leave the site I want everything removed but if someone who has verified me leaves as half of them already have, I wouldn't display their verification if it was still available because it would no longer be valid.
