Is there any way this can be removed? I caught a guy red handed on a social with my photos from my profile on his phone it was many many years ago when I was new to the site and I didn't report it at the time, stupid I know!
I think it will save people's pictures being downloaded and used for making fake profiles or putting them on porn sites. |

This. There's no way to prevent images online being copied. Even with the best security features available nothing stops a second phone from being used to take a photo of an image.
The golden rule of 'never post anything online you wouldn't want being seen' applies. 🤷♂️ |

You could consider editing your photos, perhaps obliterating components, reducing the image quality too, that might make them less attractive to other people to keep them. You could even have different versions of the same images, sharing the more complete and higher quality, with more trusted friends, for example.
Ultimately, once it's on their screen, they can use, keep, etc as they wish to.
You can keep more pics completely in private, not in your friends section. |

As people have already said its up to you, post it or don't but even if they could stop the downloading there is nothing to stop anyone photographing the screen with another phone. |
