Any ideas why photo verification is taking so long at the moment..?? Trying to set up a single male profile (Mrs' idea) and did a verification photo yesterday which still hadn't been verified 24 hours later. I've deleted that profile and started again in case it had perhaps ended up in a black hole, but an hour or so down the line and it's looking much the same... |

I guess it depends how many photo mods are online at any given time. They're all volunteers so may well be working.
It'll also depend on how many photos are waiting to be verified too. 🤷♂️ |

If the photo has been approved it will show in your photo album with "Verified (thank you!)
This is your verification photo
Private. Won't show." displayed. If it's there then contact admin via the links below. If it's not, then you'll need to reupload it.

I know my wife doesnt meet on here anymore but i still find it a bit iffy that i cant put a photo on here because she is in it.To be fair i dont have a photo just of myself but i feel that it.Maybe i am barking up the wrong tree and i suppose i should just try to take one and attempt to put it on  |

It would be more 'iffy' if Fab allowed distinguishing photos of other people, in profiles that weren't their own. You can have photos of both of you in a couple s profile, that you both use only.
As others stated, the processing time for photo approval depends on the availability of the volunteers who do this. With a double bank holiday, there are lots of people wanting to be active, with extra free time, so this should lead to longer expected waiting times.
A little planning ahead should take the stress out of what is, presumably, a longer term goal for using Fab. If photos meet all rules, they will get processed and approved here. With smartphones now having cameras, it's easier than ever for single people to get shots of themselves alone now Many people expect that all or the majority of what's included in a single person's photo will be just that person. |
