Also, no one said looks are the only thing to worry about — suggesting that misses the point. Visual design directly affects how people interact with a site. Clearer layouts, better contrast, mobile-friendly features — all of that reduces friction and makes things more inclusive and enjoyable. A cleaner, modern interface helps both new and existing users connect more easily, which benefits the whole community.
