Looks like the government is introducing Yoti app this month for all adult sites. When will this happen on this site ?

I think yoti is just one of many methods to age verify, as far as I know the fab operators have not yet made an announcement as to their approach.

Other sites have, and those ranged from making all content safe for work, through to verification methods including yoti, credit card etc

Let's hope fab is not too adversely impacted x

So what’s the VPN of choice then?

"So what’s the VPN of choice then? "

Surfshark, Nordvpn or expressvpn.

I currently use surfshark. I got a good deal and you can use it on unlimited devices. It's not 100% perfect but suits me fine for what I need.

Generally the higher the cost the better service. There are of course, cheaper, free vpns, which do work but you'll definitely have issues with them not working at some point because too many people use them and get the alternative ips permanently banned. If you're unfamiliar with Vpns the free ones are worth trying to show you what they can do.

Also, a VPN won't magically give 100% anonymity, but will hide your IP, provides safer web use (encrypts your online data) and can bypass geo blocks (make it look like your in another country).

On adult sites that are hosted in other countries where the adult id checks aren't so strict, you could technically switch your VPN to the country the website is hosted in and bypass the UK version of the website (which would only let you sign in with an id check).

Actually, what would be good is is if someone tried to post their age as 44 on their profile and the the software popped up and said "sorry, age incorrect"

🤣🤣🤣

"Be simpler if FAB moved to the Dark Web"

Pretty much is already there with the amount of no verification required to use the site

Other verifications required include passport details, driving licence, credit card details. I assume most will not submit these, one wonders if fab will just close.

Some will see yoti, and the other id verification sites as yet more government data mining experiments...

Bottom line, currently fab hasn't said anything, so until the deadline (25th July) we can hope that the site owner is looking into options to keep the site going, or not.

Perhaps the simplest option would be to ensure all publicly available pictures are considered safe for work. That's how some other sites have approached the issue.

That would be an interesting consequence and catch out quite a few single men and women on Fab. I have come across some quite ambitious age "errors" in my time .

A month out from this apparently coming into force has anything been said (officially) by the site on this?

No but I'm sure they will update once something is in place.

It's better that they work on our behalf, behind the scenes, to keep Fab accessible to us, on top of the workload to keep the site operational, plus other improvements. It would be a distraction from this, especially if users don't have to and can't do anything differently, other than carrying on using the site as we do today, until things are ready.

Fab doesn't announce site changes in advance, unless there's beta testing.

I’m not getting involved with anything the government want to introduce. Bunch of crooked cunts…will be selling everyone’s information to the highest bidder.

I don't see what the actual problem is with Fab members having to prove they are over 18. The purpose of the new law is to protect children under that age, stop them accessing adult content and prevention of exploration of said children. So basically by getting on your high horses and refusing to age verify yourselves you are putting your own sexual gratification first.

I will age verify myself when asked.

Good that you like Yoti, I tried it but found far too intrusive with all the info they want about you. Age ID is definitely needed, lot of other sites are already asking for it now in preparation for 25th but there needs to be something in place without you giving ALL your personal details away.

Should hopefully put a lot of minds at ease. After all the worries and comments of 'I'm not giving anyone ID'....it's actually a very simple process that requires very little action. 👌
