Age Assurance 18+: Try it and give feedback

Hi folks
"Age assurance" is coming soon, as required by UK law and overseen by OFCOM. This is part of the new UK law the Online Safety Act which is designed to reduce online harms and keep adult content for adults only.
Add a comment to this thread and we'll PM you a link to test the methods we will be using on here.
These all follow OFCOM guidelines which they have published on "highly effective" age assurance. For example, mobile phone network operator check for 18+ (if your phone is unlocked for adult content) and AI age estimation are two of the methods they say are capable of being "highly effective" if used correctly.
We are in the final stages of our testing. All our methods are quick, easy and designed for privacy, following guidance from the Information Commissioner's Office on data privacy related to age assurance.
We store no data other than a PASS if we can confirm you as 18+. We don't store (or in most methods need) your DOB as part of this process and we don't store any data as part of the process. It is emphatically NOT an ID check. For anyone interested in the details of the legislation, OFCOM has published around 400 pages of guidance related to this which you can google and read through.
PS. MOST folks who are active users on the site will already have taken an action which means their account will be flagged as age assured at the point this goes live.

Mobile phone network operator check can be bypassed so that is unreliable. The use of government face IDs (Passports, ID cards, Driver's license) just like in tinder is more reliable. It confirms the age and further more reduces fake profile making the site safe |

Age verification could not come sooner hopefully this will also clear out all of the fakes.
KIK use a face recognition system but it maybe costly.
As for mobile phone networks i would not trust them to many parents don't control the kids phones and leave age bit open |
