Hi does anyone else think there should be a way to block people from messaging you from forum posts? I enjoy posting on the forums but don’t like when people pm me about a post I’ve made. It’s just something I find a bit annoying and wondered if others felt the same

Surely I would have to turn off receiving messages from everyone though? I don’t mind getting messages from people who we may have an interest in. It’s just something I find a bit annoying 🫤

Surely all they would do without the reply privately button is just message you in the normal way. It wouldnt stop anything.

It's not something that overly bothers me..a message is easy enough to delete

On occasions when they’re friendly it’s great to receive them

Occasionally get nasty ones if they disagree with me making a forum post but that’s their issue

I am unsure. Lol. From what I see many people use the forums as a means of getting in touch with others on here they wouldn't normally come across if just browsing normally. Many threads are used as a means of bringing people with similar interests together

Like posting a status update, or posting public pics, posting on the forums puts our profile out there, but they see Matt's bi and it scares most off. Lol. I find that the best chats often start off from the forums..usually someone telling me they're offended, and me not apologising...but the banter is usually always good.

It's only my opinion but I have seen many posts from men, women, couples, TV/TS that just scream 'reply privately' at other members.

All that said, though, it is quite irritating to post under "what I'm listening to", and then get a private message from someone telling me they're wanking off listening to it! So next time they ask it's 'Ventura'!

A x

Calderdale innit

I don't mind if they genuinely want to talk about the subject on the thread.

I hate random creepy lurkers, who slide into your messages to turn the chat dirty though or argue.

Say it on the thread, if it's all above board.
