I’m going to preface this as will probably be very unpopular and will likely get a bit of backlash.
I would love to have a body type filter. I know what I am after and to be honest I’m not all that interested personally meeting with someone who may be plus sized, I have no issues with them but when I am looking on profiles I would prefer to filter with body type so I don’t waste mine or their time.
As I said I’m sure there will be some people who take offence to this but it’s soley for my own filtering needs. Happy to hear opinions |

Even if there was that option it's down to the profile owner how they categorise themselves
I've seen many profiles advertised as athletic, everyone has a different idea of what that looks like
I don't think it would help you much |

You could have just asked for a body type filter 🤷♀️.
People like what they like.
This is in the right place for admin to see it in the mean time you could check photos to see if someone is your type |

I'm very upfront on my profile about my body type.
I have no issue with people having their preferences, I think the issue is that people categorise themselves as what they think they're.
It's too subjective, people might call themselves athletic or average etc and your opinion would differ. |

Yours has got to be one of the most well profiles I’ve ever seen. It’s nice to see some real thought on here beyond the usual. If someone has such a shallow obsession with body types etc, it says a lot about them. |

With tens of thousands of people to search through especially from amongst the men,a body type filter is needed to make searching effective. Ideally we'd get the ability to search on all of the fields we've filled in |

It isn't shallow to have a preference of what type of body type you fancy the most. However I don't think there is a need to say what type you don't fancy when mentioning it. |

How people describe themselves is subjective. Even with a body type filter you'd still have to assess based on the available photos. That said, it's an oft asked for filter.
Perhaps add that you're not looking for plus sized people to your bio. I mean, you were able to mention it here when all you needed to do was ask for a body type filter. On your own profile would be a much more appropriate and relevant place to express the type of body you're looking for (or not). |

I agree with you on this one.
I think a body type filter (even if self classification is subjective) would be maybe 80% fit for purpose. It doesn't have to be perfect.
We all list our body types and to protect those sensitive feelings about......... it's positive and negative on inclusions or exclusions to search. If I want to positively include athletic only at the exclusion of Fabulous or Curvy; or exclude athletic to include curvy it can be cut either way.
I'd be grateful for a body type filter in much the same way there's a filter for smokers/non-smokers. |
