If you add a private note a popup or something to say you have a private note about that profile would be good.

Why the need when you can message. If a site supporter you can use private note but no one else will know you made a note about them

You dont know you have a private note unless you click private note, think the OP means if you click on a profile if youve made a private note on them then a pop up of some indicator shows to say you have private notes
