I tend to search for women and couples who are "looking for a guy of my age, and don't block single guys". However, that will still include profiles that, after reading them, wouldn't be interested in me due to preferences they can't set on their profile.
So I'd like to see the site allow more details in preferences to allow the site to filter on.
For example:
It could be they're only looking for black guys, but the interest filter doesn't allow them to select by race. They could filter me out when searching on their end by searching by race, but there's no means of them filtering themselves out of mine.
They could be only looking for bi or bi-curious people of specific genders. But again they can't say they're looking for "couples, women and bi-men" it's all men or nothing. Thus they pop up when I'm searching.
I would like this to improve so that searches can be more intelligent, and would hopefully have the side effect of reducing the amount of messages those more selective individuals would get from users ineligible via criteria. |
