Verifications when blocking

Apologies if this has been asked numerous times.

If you block someone if i am right the verification remains on the total summary but dissapears from the profile.

If you then unblock someone does it return or is it gone forever?

You are that it stops them using when you block them but I think it does come back if you unblock them.
