You get two minutes to delete and repost.
The problem with editing is that people would change posts to remove anything that wasn't received well, or to change an opinion that didn't go down as hoped. There'd be an awful lot of backtracking. 🤷♂️ |

There is also the 'Preview' option so you can read what you have typed before posting. |
