How pics/ videos approval takes so longong

Hi. Just a constructive criticism

Why do my pics take so long to be approved? Average 15 minutes for photos, and even two hours for videos, all whilst I witness how dick wankers videos are approved in one minute. My pics are not rude or heavy at all and it's only me in the pics, nobody else.

Is it just bad luck?

Also, if you are dealing with technical issues, why are you not setting the time the pic was approved instead of the time it was posted? At the time it is approved, I'm already out of the new and friends’ pic lists, out of every timeline sight. So if I plan to impress somebody, there is no way

Thank you Fab Administrator

Fab replies on a team of photos moderators, to review all images. Image submission isn't spread evenly through the week or any time of day. Great weather, bank holidays, weekends, etc place a bigger load on the volunteers, who can also have family challenges, etc to deal with.

The owners do read all ideas and feedback here but sometimes a good helping of patience is needed

Our photos recently have been taking 1-2 hours to be approved. Considering we pay to be site supporters, it really isn't good enough.🤔😕

Mods are volunteers. They have lives. They're not paid. There are no paid staff.

Is an hour or two a life changing amount of time?

We know they have lives. Fabs business model maybe needs changing. Plenty of money is exchanged for the services they provide. So perhaps paying some staff is an idea.

I don't disagree. But given the present 'staffing' arrangements, delays to photos being approved especially over weekends/overnight are to be expected. 🤷‍♂️

This has been happening for months now with no requests from the site owners asking for volunteers to approve.

If you're lucky enough to have your photos approved in 15 minutes or are patient enough to wait several hours, we'll done you.

I'd also add, that Fab's photo rules and analysis, is now more complex, due to AI rules. The volunteer photo moderators, in this heatwave, are doing a tougher job than ever.

Remember too, that site supporter provides the specific service features, including larger image capabilities, only.

They often put requests up for help, one was up not long ago.

Normally it is around 10 minutes to approve pictures, yesterdays was 14. It doesn't often take much longer than those times.

It obviously depends on some factors but most times through the day it is good coverage.

It isn't . Fake / Ai /filtered pics have always been moderated and would have been rejected as a matter of course ( barring any mistakes ) Admin were just confirming to members that this is not allowed.

I am sure the weather won't make a difference to how Mods moderate

South

If you really need to show someone something quickly you just send a direct photo while you are waiting for the picture to be approved.
