We have it set to will not meet smokers because we don’t like the smell of smoke or kissing smokers however we have made exceptions at clubs if we have really liked them or a few friends in the scene who smoke we happily kiss, but prefer them not to smoke just before etc. We don’t mind people who vape as it doesn’t smell bad or taste bad but there’s no where to put that on the site other than in the blurb. |

Having it set to “will not meet smokers” has often meant that people rule themselves out. If we set it to “will meet smokers” it suggests to everyone that we will meet them whereas our preference is otherwise and it gets tedious explaining that smoking and associated smells etc. is a turn off. Also, vapers don’t smell or taste as bad but there’s no option for them to state that or for anyone to take into consideration that they’re not tobacco smokers 
Our preference is the same, heavy smokers are a no, as are people smoking on a club night. If you put "will meet smokers" it doesn't mean you'll meet anyone who smokes. Likewise if you put "will not meet smokers" it doesn't mean you'll meet any non smoker. Be aware many lie and put "non smoker" when actually they smoke. "
Using that logic we better not put "will meet couples" because some are out there that we absolutely will not meet. |
