Nr Colchester

Please could improvements be made to locations.

I am in Colchester, location states East Midlands, there is no Essex in drop down. Makes searching meets and events difficult too x

Thanks

Midlands

Sheffield also comes under East Midlands, that's probably a 4 hour drive for you!

Profile searches are done by distance, not area.

Some counties are huge. If you're in South Cornwall you're miles from anywhere, whereas the north is a reasonable journet to anywhere in Devon and Somerset.

If searches just went by town/city/county it would be no more accurate than just using mileage which offers better opportunities as it's a radius search rather than straight line. 🤷‍♂️

Parkhead Glasgow

can we at least have the option of 1, 2 ,3 then 5 miles? a ten mile circle is pretty useless when want people within the same city or even better same city area . Not everyone wants to drive for an hour for a meeting

But OP is talking about meet/event searchs and not profile searches. It would be much better if meet/event searches could be based on distance as well.

As it is the regional search is a bit of a horlicks as such huge areas that don't make sense. This is typified by people sometimes putting three listings in three different areas as they are not sure which one works - (eg South East, London and East Midlands is not uncommon for me to see)

Somewhere in Norfolk ask :)

We are in Norfolk and that comes under East Midlands but actually it’s east Anglia…

This discussion has been going for 10 years at least. The geographic world of Fab is insane. Nothing has changed.

It's a fairly simple fix, but for some reason neer does get fixed.

When you search for meets, and you live in Herts, for example, you literally have to search East Midlands, London, Southeast and outer Mongolia.

It's about time this was sorted out.

Advanced search is for profile searches. Doesn't work for meet/event searches sadly - they are by geographical area.

You can use Advanced Search tool for specific types of people, specifically for those who are looking for meets

LONDON

Almost everyone is shown as 7 miles away from me. Met someone who was supposedly 7 miles away but it was literally 15 minutes walk from mine.

That is just meet today. You can't use advanced search to search the meets people have posted. Have you never posted a meet in that section or searched through them?

Let's say you live in Hertfordshire as per poster above and want to see if anybody is looking for a meet Saturday night within 20 miles. You can't do it without manually checking meet listing for three different geographical areas.
