Wonder if it might be a good idea to have a link to rules for status updates when you go to post one. A lot of people seem to get status update bans and I think are unaware of the rules.
When you go to type a post for Forum there is a link to the rules. When you upload a picture there is a link to the rules. When you post a meet/event there are guidelines. But for status updates there is nothing.
This has not affected me personally as I don't post anything controversial on my status updates but I'm not clear on the rules. Sometimes not clear if something should be reported. I guess it is covered by general site terms but think I would be better to have something explicit the same as for Forum posts, pics and meets. |

A rule of thumb is
Don't name n shame, badmouth anyone. Don't ask for or offer money or services. Illegal substances. Links to other sites, Insta and X included, phone numbers. And keep it legal.
Pretty simple really. |

Yes but also pretty simple to have a link there when you post status updates don’t you think? (Just like pics, forum posts, meets etc). It may be simple to you but clearly lots of people don’t know these rules. Just a suggestion to help the site and avoid problems for people and time for admin. |

To be fair, I think QOT was just letting you know what you could be blocked for as you said you were not aware and then saying it is simple rules of the site.
People should already know the rules of the site though and most people get a status removed for breaking one of those rules.Your suggestion is in the right place for Admin though |
