I was just wondering whether stopping new profiles from posting status updates would be a good idea as I regularly see new profiles with status updates with phone numbers in them. Just a thought

I think part of the problem with the OPs point is, that they are sometimes used maliciously, to publicise phone numbers that aren't theirs, as happened to us recently.

I meant as the majority are malicious as they end to disappear rather quickly. They're invariably a new female profile with not much of a profile and no pics etc. and they tend not to be up long.
