I don't think it needs to be indicated on their profile but if there was going to be any indication then it should be in the area that they're modding

How would a new user know who a mod is? Before they know it they'll get a naughty step for not knowing that someone actually is the forum police. |

Just remain within the Forum Rules and you don't need to know who the Forum moderators are. |
