There seems to be a high number of threads started by people saying they are depressed, contemplating suicide at the moment. Whilst the general advice is to go to A&E, GP, Crisis team etc these threads do tend to go to the extreme.
What is the FAB stance on these sort of threads? Is contemplating suicide a subject that should be allowed on a swingers site? Should these threads be reported as soon as the OP has been sign posted? |

Anyone can report a thread that they are concerned about, then Admin will review it and deal with it where necessary  |

They get deleted sadly, I doubt anyone deals with it which is a shame but I doubt admin are trained to deal with those matters. |

OP the threads are usually the first time a person in distress reaches out for help.
The responses from most people are fantastic - offers of advice on where and how to get help in a crisis and their kind words are often enough to get someone through what feels to be a desperate time.
Just because this is a swingers/sex site doesn't mean people don't genuinely care about others or that such posts are inappropriate. If reaching out to us on the fab forums stops someone from harming themselves then I'm more than happy to see these posts and offer some advice and support. |
