When it does get going, and I blame a Parisian newspaper for the time being wrong, it may only deal with this. In the night from Friday to Saturday, the National Assembly voted for a much bigger and new budget of expenses to face the coronavirus crisis: supporting companies, helping the low-income families and bonus for health caregivers are been revised.

Important stuff though.

Pau France, NOT IN

All the newspapers said 17.30 and it was supposed to be about the exit plan. However all I can find reported on that is: "Philippe said that the government would be presenting its detailed planed for exiting lockdown within the next 15 days."

So we have to wait longer. Mind you, with the virus still about I'm happy to stay in a lockdown mode.

Financial help for companies (fuck me they retire at 55)!, financial help for low income families (4 children and you've got the jackpot)! and care givers (37hr working week)!

Where does a self employed migrant worker(non EU I might add, thanks Brexit, CUNTS!!!) stand? Ie me? Fucking alone that's where I stand.! I'm tax resident here and because I haven't earned enough then I can't claim anything. Shit on from the UK, shit on from France, where next? The shitting moon?

Rant over.

Sorry about that.

Ps the French really are lazy!

So why live here then Sam????

It is what it is and like most things you have to deal with it the best way you can and that goes for the good times and the bad and the indifferent times also.

Hoping you stay safe Sam and come through these crazy times in one piece but I must say that I have not met a lazy French person but I’ve met plenty of lazy people over the years from other countries.

From Languedoc Living this morning

Prime Minister Edouard Phillippe said Sunday night that “I’m saying this with a lot of caution; the virus is under control.”

Much as we all expected, he said that life will not be back to normal on 11 May, even though lockdown may finish.

Phillippe said “Our lives from May 11th won’t be exactly what we knew before the lockdown.”

Schools and businesses will gradually open, but bars and restaurants won’t open until at least July, he said. He also confirmed Macron’s statement that there will be no public gatherings until at least the middle of July.

The detailed plan for 11 May an onwards will be announced during the next 15 days.

My favorite stat from the speech was 13.5 million people stopped by the law and only 800,000 fined which isn’t bad I thought.

Côte d'Azur & Great Yarmouth

Like you guys, we’re “locked-down” too… In the first couple of days we went to a Géant Casino to shop, no real problem other than waiting in a queue outside with our trolley until we were one of the ten let in at a time. Since then we’ve only really been outside a couple of times to shop locally (otherwise we just lounge around the pool, what a life!).

But last Sunday we took a walk towards the beach and were stopped almost immediately by the Police; once assured that we hadn’t, in fact, strayed more than 1km from our home, they reminded us that walking actually on the beach was forbidden. Very polite, very correct, but oh my God, are we going stir-crazy! Let’s hope for some GOOD news on the 11th!

Yes, the lockdown is tough and there is another three weeks to go.

The 11th May or "post lockdown" is going to feel strange after being in relative solitude for so long.

It will also be a new experience wearing masks in public however I welcome the tracking app on our smartphones as this idea seems to make sense - assuming that these proposals become reality.

It is going to be an informative few weeks as little by little we discover what our life outside the confines of our homes is going to be like.

Agde

My understanding of public gatherings includes campsites.

Does anybody have specific details for campers..?

I've scanned everywhere but found nothing.

Thanks
