*Should you require an speaking English Doctor there is one in Cap d Agde near Aqualand. You simply turn up and queue *
* Dr Christophe Crabiers, Ave De La Butte, 34300 Cap D'Agde. . Speaks English, is quite witty, very approachable. His clinic is within half a mile of the gates to the main Cap naturist site. Afternoon clinic, no appt required. Pay him directly, typically €25*
*Testing for STIs is available at a clinic in Beziers . Private tests in France are inexpensive compared to the UK *

Not certain that any Campsite in France will discriminate against a VW camper van. Do you have this problem in the U.K.? I am imagining the situation of the staff going, Gott, à Germain Van, refuse it now, and the U.K. filth that drive it. |

Hello . I only know one person who used a dentist for an abcess . There are none in the village . If you have an emergency I would ask in the office of Peng Travel or Hotel eve . If you are still having difficultly pm Pat69drive and I will ask a letting agent whom I know ( she resides in the village ) . If anyone reading this can recommend dentists I will list them on the information sectiom

Hello. Last time I did that journey by taxi it waa 120 Euros one way. A taxi will have to pay at least one toll fee . I usually use Suntransfers if I book a taxi. Whilst the trio is longer , have you considered travelling by train. The journey is airport bus to Montpelier , tram to the train station , train to Agde and then bus or taxi to the village.

I was there last year, didn't have to book but just walk in after paying at the entrance and Was only open during the day..
It has an outdoor pool/bar and basement like sauna/spa.

We received the tickets for Eden yesterday and it stated masks on entry but what goes in Eden stays in Eden, unfortunately a full night of dancing erotica and drinking are bound to lower inhibitions (always have in the past) so for us the conscience of passing on something to others isn’t worth the risk |

Inhibition is lower enough in Cap without drinking. We have been there last week and masks were only used to enter. Removed straight away 1 meter later. Personally we found pointless wearing them if after you end up kissing someone. |

Didn't want to write this but we have very reluctantly cancelled for our visit at the end of next week.
The campsite have been brilliant and given us a credit note for our deposit to use next year and Eurotunnel have allowed us to reschedule our crossing even though our original ticket was non amendable
To say we are totally gutted would be an understatement

Hello. Considering the circumstances quite well . With Covid 19 you need to be carefull in Cap and I avoided all crowded areas. Managed to host 2 soiree evenings which were less risky than some of the other crowded events which are now closed .
The Saunas are still open. I ate at La Scala yesterday and the Kumastra was attracting a lot of customers .
Cap is different this year. You have to be aware of the risks associated with i t and take steps to avoid them.
People can still enjoy Cap , you just have to accept it is different. The beach is still open. |

At Beziers Airport now and I have never seen it so quiet . The Edinburgh flight appears to be virtually empty judging by the number of people going through security. Let's hope the era of cheap air travel is not coming to an end. My next trip is via Eurostar which is a lot more expensive than Ryanair. |

We accept masks and avoiding crowds is a part of the new normal and we'll probably use the place as a base, but we do want to be able to laze around the pool with a nice cocktail or two;-)  can you keep us posted on this situation if you don't mind thanks C&D |

Hello. The pools are still opening. Kamasutra was attracting a lot of customers for the pool yesterday and the pool at Bodega is also open. You will probably find it quieter than usual. Sometimes the quiet times can be the best. If you are organising parties be carefull with the numbers . The fine is 135 Euro per person if you exceed 10 people . Sex parties are illegal but if you keep a low profile and do not play loud music , the police are unlikely to pay you a visit.
There have been more than the usual number of police around this weekend. |

French regional health authorities said there had been a “very worrying” outbreak of coronavirus at a naturist holiday resort on the Mediterranean coast, with some 100 holidaymakers so far testing positive.
The Cap d’Agde resort in the Herault region, hugely popular among naturists, saw 38 positive tests on Monday and another 57 on Wednesday, the health authority said.
The rate of infection was four times higher among naturists in the resort than in the village itself, it added.
Another 50 holidaymakers had also tested positive after returning home and results of more tests were expected next week.
The figures are “very worrying” it said, adding an alert had been issued over the resort.
The outbreak comes as France on Sunday reported almost 4,900 new coronavirus cases over the last 24 hours, its highest figure since May. |

Hopefully anyone who has been to Cap recently is already aware of these risks and taken steps to minimise their exposure to them. The area outside Melrose ( now closed ) was packed on my previous visit and social distancing was bring ignored . Other people organising patio socials are ignoring both the maximum size rule and social distancing. Do we know if those who tested postive caught Covid 19 in Cap or brought it from their country of original. ? The post states that naturists had a higher infection rate than those in the village. Does this imply that non naturists in the village have less chance of being infected? The risk probably has to be matched against and assessed against the total population of the village and whether or not testing has been done at other villages in France . |

There are so many unknowns with Covid which even now after 8 months scientists/experts can’t explain, why are some asymptomatic whilst other die within 2 days of contraction.
Over the last few weeks they have been testing just outside the Cap village and many of our friends who either live or work in the Cap have taken advantage of this service.
Tellingly within this cohort it’s only those who actually work in the village have tested positive albeit with very mild symptoms.
We ourselves enjoy the Cap 2 or 3 times each week, we feel quite safe on the beach, visiting friends and only come into closer contact in restaurants where all waiters where masks as we all do when not sitting anywhere.
It’s completely understandable why so many have cancelled their September holiday here given the UK quarantine restrictions.
Although also a pity since the village is a marvellous place to be right now with a unique atmosphere.
Indeed quite safe too given the heavy police presence who ensure that restrictions are enforced within this bubble.
As they think that Covid will always be around the chances of avoiding it are slim unless we totally isolate ourselves, we can though consolidate ourselves that over 95 infections out of a 100 have mainly mild symptoms.
