Will Macca announce another country wide lockdown tonight or not..

Really hope not as its liable to be extended like last time, then it gets close to a Christmas lockdown which wont be fun for anyone.

He continually kept on saying over the past few weeks that he didn't want to do another lockdown but guess what, he has just completed his speech and we now go back into a month long lockdown. What a pain that is. Can you ever trust what a politician says!

In fairness he had no choice. It is raging away here but I am not overly surprised as I have no social distancing as such.

Seems we have to wait for the PM to give the finer details after 6.30pm. Been down to the local brico this morning and the owner says he's staying open. Will be nice if they can get rid of the 1km limit for going out. Should be different rules for cities and us country folk.

So do we wait a week and see if the U.K. copy everything that Macron put forward

Normandy France

What really bugs me is, You will still be able to go out and buy 'cigarettes and alcohol' as these are deemed necessary but they have closed gyms despite distancing and cleanliness rules enforced in them !!! And the worst of all they encourage you to send your little snotty nosed rug rats to a massive germ pool mixing bowl "school" so they can come home and infect everyone they come in contact with.... Yeah really responsible, Maccaroona

Yes, if you don't have the attestation and you bump into the Gendarmes or police. No excuse, a 135 euro fine.

Shopping is a tick in the 2nd box down.

Were still eating what we grew in the 1st lockdown ,luckily our work isnt affected that much ,just daily attestations.

Well I've just driven 400 km for an appointment (box 2) but strangely still saw a lot of traffic and of course no one stopped me to check my attestation once.

Last lockdown we had to drive back to the UK (from 17) and were stopped and asked for the attestation at every peage - and in the previous two weeks were stopped each time we drove into town.

I expect the same this time

If you were walking to the shops and your kayak lost a wheel how many rice puddings would it take to re-roof my ostrich hutch?

It's very quiet around here, but when I went to collect a parcel today, the roads had reasonably normal rural traffic. Didn't see any Gendarmes, the little hardware store was open. People were going about their business pretty much as normal, those that I saw.

Thia lockdown seems more relaxed than the first. When you go out to the shops etc people are still standing around chatting and not seen any evidence of panic buying. Only strange difference is this non essential goods crap, odd going into stores and seeing blue tarpaulin drapped over shelves and aisles blocked off. You can tell its men making the big decisions when they say make up and hair care products are not allowed, plonkers!

Looks like the current lockdown is going to be with us for quite some time.

Even Christmas has now been mooted as being restricted to small gatherings - which I can understand but, it will be interesting to see how the locals take that...
