Cap in September??

So, we are interested in sampling the delights of cap .

Been to GC many a time and stayed at Venus before. Our preference is playing at clubs or resort.. not actually a fan of the dunes.

After a little research on Cap July and August are extortionate prices for a first time visit.

We are looking at 2nd week of September possibly at OZ for a similar experience to Venus??

We have been to France in September and October lots of times before on the Atlantic coast and know that the weather is hit and miss and cold in the morning.

How busy is the actual village likely to be? It's the week before the last week of opening, is everything still open? Or on wind down ?

May just book Venus again in November instead??

Cap d’Agde, France

Oz Inn is not like Venus Star, Le Jardin d’Eden or Jardin de Babylon would be the closest.

Traditionally the Cap starts to close down around the weekend before the 15th September and is well into it’s winter slumber by 15th October when the campsite closes.

Weather is good in September and there’s still a good crowd around.

This weekend is the real beginning of the season, we went in last night and it was so crowded that we struggled to find a parking spot.

However if you can afford Oz Inn in September, surely you can shell out for an apartment in July/August.

We saw a very good deal on Oz for 4 nights at below £700 ... so no, we couldn't find an apartment in august for that. ( and flights were more)

We only ever have 4/ 5 nights for swingers getaway and can't justify spending lots on something that's not our main holiday.

We thought Oz looked a bit like Venus as it has its own play room area ( also looks very nice!) x

We have had great nights in September. After mid September it gets noticeably quiet. First week of September you have Brescou week which Cap is taken over by the bikers- quite a sight! Weather can be really good but wind picks up in September. Well worth it though.

Cap d’Agde, France

€700 for four nights in Oz is very good, a male friend was quoted €1500 for one night in July a few years back. We put him up instead for free, even gave him breakfast??

I suppose it all depends on whose staying in the hotel at the time, all our friends who’ve stayed there have gone out of the hotel to meet playmates whereas we’ve been invited by others to play in Jardin d’Edin when it’s been an all out pool orgy??

Probably the best place for interacting with others is Port Nature where the open walkways lead to lots of neighbourly socials (soirées) with pluses, we’ve attended more here than anywhere else in the Cap and always had great fun!

Wherever you stay you’ll have a great time, GC is great for winter fun but there’s really no comparison with the Cap, but if you can, make it the first week in September.??
