Cap D’ Agde is it worth it?
Jump to: Newest in thread
For a couple or fem totally yes. As a guy on his own. You cannot go to loads of events. And I assume you have to be A, super confident in your pulling ability. B, super good looking.
Or just look for couples that are playing on the beach and have to compete with the 50 other guys there. |

Can’t be more true than this |

True ! I don’t think you’ll have much fun as a single guy. There’s a lot of competition.
It’s best to go as a couple |

This is very true, but at 6ft, 21 and athletic you’ve got a good start on many others |

Is it worth it? Very good question.
For us, as a couple who looked for single guys at the time, then yes very much so. That's why we went for 10 consecutive years.
For a single guy then it would depend on what you make of it. We've seen confident decent looking guys have a lot of fun there.
However we've also seen guys who just sit in a corner and speak to no-one, just slowly getting pissed. They get very little or no fun.
Always remember that not all couples are looking for single guys, in fact the majority are probably not but there are still a good number who are.
Another thing to consider is your age. Cap does get a lot of younger people (mostly at the weekends) but they will nearly all be French. So your language skills will have to be up to scratch or you will struggle in your age group.
International visitors are mostly 40's plus. Some will maybe like the idea of a young fit guy but many won't want to play with someone younger than their k*ds.
The beach is very competitive for guys and good manners are not the order of the day. You will see some amazing sights though.
Quite a lot of the events (pool/foam parties) are couples only so it will restrict you a bit.
Most of the clubs allow single guys (at a price of course) but some do restrict numbers.
Cap is an expensive place so you have to consider whether or not it will suit you.

"What is it lime for a single female. Is it safe or better to come with a friend?"
Firstly I have to say that you have one of the best profiles on here. A really good read.
Is it safe for a single woman? I think yes but it would depend on what you are looking for there.
On the beach and in the play areas of the clubs the guys can be a bit pushy. If you do venture into the play areas then you will almost certainly be groped. Manners and etiquette are rare in those places.
In the bars you should be ok. You may even get chatted up and finish up with a regular partner for your stay. The Bodega Bar and whatever the old Jonny Wokkers is calling itself now usually get a lot of international couples (and a few singles) and would be good places to start. If you are half as bubbly as your profile I'm sure you would get to know people very quickly.
If you want lots of sex with different guys you will almost certainly get it. Le Tantra at night and the Histories d'O and Kamasutra saunas in the daytime are well known gangbang venues. But reading your profile I get the impression that is not what you are looking for. So make an informed decision on whether or not they are for you.
Overall I think you would be better going with someone but I'm sure you could hack it on your own. |

"Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts. Is it worth the hype? Any experiences good or bad would love to hear. Feel free to share publicly or privately "
If people can't spell Cap D'Agde they shouldn't go! |

It's expensive and crowded in the heights of summer but people come from all over the world to experience it. I personally enjoy my day trips as I find it a little much. I'm like a kid in a sweet shop. it's definitely worth it though and has to be seen to be believed. |

While some do use a capital D most including Wikipedia and the Cap d'Agde tourist office use a small d.
To be honest I'm not 100% sure which is correct but I always use the small d.
Must admit though that I wince when I see Cap Darge and the like on here. |

Well worth the trip. Easy to get to. Went for 4 days last September. Probably a little quit but still lots to do and see.
If you put the effort in as a single guy you will be rewarded. Lots of fun and options. Going again this year first week September.

"We'd love to go. Can anyone recommend where to stay?"
We like to stay in the Le Pearl accommodation on the campsite. The mayhem is close by but you've a great retreat when you want it too. |

"Is it worth going in late September / early October?
Or is that out of season and too quiet?"
It's absolutely worth going late season. I find it quieter and the weather is still lovely. sept rather than Oct. |

We go as a recently married couple, mostly for the climate and total freedom in Cap d'Agde. It's about the only place where a wife can be appreciated without any ties. Apart from the daytime beaches we've found that in the village itself a few bars later at night can be entertaining. Admittedly as a couple the wife is constantly 'pursued' but for a couple of weeks there's no comparison with our home life in London . |
