After the demise of the anglophones favourite watering hole this business has changed hands for the fourth time (maybe fifth)
Eating in Bohemia last night we saw that they have now taken over the terrace and made it a very cosy extension of their bar (which used to be ‘La Canne à Sucré’)
The main bar is now being turned into a massage parlour with happy endings or maybe just ‘happy endings’🤣
We had great nights in Johnnies of old, now a distant memory ☹️ |

Great fun times listening to the Johnie BS and being fearful of suffering the wrath of Jennifer.
So many fab memories from those days.
The first bar I visited in 2000.
Then became neighbours in Port Ambonne and they were still there a while after they sold the bar. |

Jennie was a bit abrupt but she was also very concerned /loving over Johnnies health.
In the year they sold he had had 4 minor strokes so it was a good thing for them.
It must have been so demanding to run this place with its terrace just the two of them.
I always thought that Jennie was Scottish but she was actually Filipino or Thai, she’d just picked up her accent from Johnnie.
Where ever they are now I hope they’re both healthy snd happy. |
