Hi all!
We’re thinking about heading to Cap D’Agde this summer and wanted to ask for some advice!
- What is the best time to go? We were thinking August / September?
- We are planning a 5 day trip, is it best to go through the weekend (Wed - Sun) or are weekdays better (Mon-Fri)
- What are the general ages of people there? Are there many under 35’s or is it largely 50+
- We’ve heard consent culture is a bit different, is it true people touch first and you need to push them away? Are people still quite respectful?
- Where’s best to stay? An apartment? one of the hotels?
- How easy is it to plan days there? Do we need to book clubs, parties, etc. in advance?
- Once we book, do we need to buy passes to enter the village, or is a booking confirmation all we need?
And any other useful tips you can give!
Thank you! |

August very busy but everything open. Stay in the village, studios or hotel/spa. Expect to be touched up!(Particularly by Italian men in August). If staying in village ( Best to ) you buy pass on arrival. Clubs etc are expensive but no booking needed. The days, go as you like. Try to include a weekend if going in September. Remember it naked during the day and dress (erotic) at night. |

The French have very strict ideas about what is the holiday season, so as soon as you get into September you're likely to find that some clubs are only open at weekends. By the end of September pretty much everywhere is closed.
We didn't have a problem with being touched, but then we're older, and don't go to most of the clubs. (It's a general rule that single guys get more respectful and considerate with age.)
Most people go for the miniscule apartments because the hotels provide 2 star service at 5 star prices. And at your age you shouldn't be in your apartment other than to sleep! |

Great, thank you! That’s made it a lot clearer! |

We've being going for more than 10 years and never had an issue meeting people around our age. The only exception to the was l'Extasia which is probably one of the nicest clubs in Europe but has a much older clientele. It's located about 20 mins outside the village.
Yes, hands my wander in places like the foam party but never in a sinister way, and people quickly understand if it is welcome or not.
The Pearl chalets are worth a look in the campsite, we wouldn't stay elsewhere. |

We heard September places start to close down, and only open on weekend with certain events.
We feel June, July and August best.
Never had issues meeting people our age or younger.
Never had any issues with anyone doing anything to make us feel uncomfortable, usually simple no or move hand away does the trick. We find the clubs in the UK worse for not getting the message.
Try get a weekend in, some places hold special events on, and some places are closed if you risk September.
Enjoy!
