France will ban smoking in all outdoor places from July 1st, and will cover all spaces where children could be present, including beaches, parks, public gardens, outside of schools, bus stops and sports venues.

The ban will not extend to France's iconic café terraces and does not apply to electronic cigarettes.

But in all honesty it's pretty unenforceable out of the cities where there are no cameras.

We remember the original smoking ban in France..

It was applied everywhere, except bars and restaurants...!!!

NOW living France

Will be 135 euros fine and will be enforced everywhere so our beaches and public area stay clean

Being a smoker I think this is going to be difficult to police but at least I won’t see baby’s in the back of a smoke filled car

Sounds wonderful, my husband almost got into a fight with a French man who encouraged his wife to blow her smoke towards his face when we politely asked them to please be careful with the smoke.
