Hi
We are driving through France to spend a month in Benidorm January 2026. Thought we might check out Cap d Agde as we pass by en route.
Obviously its not the ideal time to visit but has anyone here ever been in Winter? We would only stay for a day or two just to see what it's like and decide if we would go back in the warmer months.
Would anything be open? Would it be like a ghost town? I can see that some of the hotels are taking bookings then so maybe some indoor venues are still open? |

We've been there in January and yes, it would be deadsville unfortunately. A handful of people live there all year round so one or two shops are open for a few hours a day. Other than that the only activity is builders renovating apartments. |

. Hello. I went once in the off season. It was completely dead . The bakery in Port Ambonne was open , the supermarkets were closed. I went to the Sauna on my first night , it was a complete waste of time.
However it is always best to visit and form your own opinion. |
