"I was chatting to one of the beach locals / regulars yesterday and he told me that every week or so, the Police descend en mass (up to 30 of them) in the dunes."
Yeah, witnessed it last Thursday afternoon, initially along the dunes then marching all round the naughty beach. Loads of whistling from the beach regulars who almost all stood up and watched them. They seemed to belong to 2 different brigades, Police Locale and AGN Gendarmerie. Most on foot but some on a hilarious looking dune buggy! They spoke to a few people but not really sure what they achieved, but eventually they scarpered off at tea/home time! Interesting that the food/drink stalls closed up and made off towards Marseillan Plage but returned soon after the Police had gone. There was quite a backlog of ‘activity’ when normal service resumed! |

Seems that they just do a cursory check every so often to appease the prefecture who are pressuring the village to be less swinger and more naturist.
Last night both local and National police swarmed the village in force, never seen so many at one time in the 10 years we’ve lived here. |

It's not about that, the Dunes are a conservation area atht eh back of pigs beach, it's pointless i know as it is full of poo and gays having their fun there, occasionally the odd bukkake session. |

We were there 2 weeks ago today when they stormed the beach and ran through the dunes. We were with local friends and they advised that people get put onto the sex offenders register as well as being fined.
There was a woman filming giving BJ’s to a row of guys, she got her details taken and then another woman near the front of the beach too.
A couple of guys who were caught in the dunes had all their details taken and the police marched them to their bags to get details. I was pretty shocked to see local, rural and national police there with guns and a cart thing on the beech. Pretty extreme if you ask me. |

I was in Cap last week of June/start of July only saw the police on the beach/in the dunes once (only 2 young officers), typically just as I'd gone into the dunes for a pee. Just got told to get back onto the beach. |

WTF go into the dunes for a pee, what’s wrong with that huge toilet right in front of you (the sea!)? |

The nature reserve wardens are active. They can't fine you unless a police officer is with them. They will send you back to the beachSomeone removed the fine boards on the fence but they were there the next day.
From what I heard the state of some parts of the dunes which is a protected nature reserve are disgusting. Litter everywhere Apparently they put bin bags in there but they are not used. Disgrace. The wardens do right to protect it. There are rare dune flowers in there |
