Hi guys, my advice would be if you want the full village naturiste experience, is to stay inside the village if that is possible. While it’s not impossible to stay outside the village, logistically it’s just far easier especially if you are visiting the clubs in the evening. If you are out at melrose or tantra until 3am, the last thing you want is to be trying to find a way to get back to where you are staying. There is also no better feeling than waking up and walking outside not having to worry about putting clothes on for the whole day.
If you do stay outside, it would best to be within walking distance as it’s not easy to get transport late in the evening. Not knowing where you are booked, I would recommend you stay no more than a 10 min walk from the village. It’s about a 25 minute 2 km walk into cap d’agde from village naturiste. It is a beautiful port with lots of nice dining and shops, but is far away from what staying inside the village offers.
In my opinion, even though there are negatives in terms of price and availability, staying inside of the village is a far better option if you’re able to if your sole reason for going to cap d’agde is experiencing the naturist village.

We have driven in for evenings on a couple of years previously, there’s a rough car park before the entrance on left hand side. The walk into the village from the pedestrian access gate is a bit naff as it’s through a pebbled car park, it’s like it’s made deliberately unappealing to people staying outside. There are lockers but we’ve also just hidden wife’s coat (so we didn’t get too obvious in our vanilla hotel in Beziers) in bushes as you go in.
It’s better inside for staying as widely stated in dozens of forum posts (we liked Port Nature best).
We holiday in Beziers each year but haven’t done Cap for about 3 years, in 2026 we’ll prob do a single night (& drive ) meal, Melrose & maybe Tantra then drive back at 3 or 4 and McDonalds on route! |

It’s easy to stay outside if you have transport or you’re a close walk back to your accommodation.
You just need a day pass or more than a day
Which you can buy at reception.
Make sure you take your passport .
Have fun |
