Hi all, I’m in Rene Oltre camping for the second time 3-12th July this year and love to hear from anyone else there the same time. I live in Spain and have my friends from Ireland in the plot next to me. Love to arrange a nice group social if anyone else is interested.

We are going for the weekend 19-21st July arriving early Friday and returning late Sunday. We are first timers so any tips from the forum on where to go on a Friday and Saturday would be most welcome. Hoping to have lots of fun. |

We’re off to Cap d’Agde this summer for our fourth visit, from 23rd July to 6th August. If you’ll be there at the same time, come and say hello! It’s always great to meet new people and make new friends. Party invites as always welcomed.
First week we have an appointment just outside the village could be interesting, second week we’ve booked an apartment in Port Vénus this year. xx |

Hi all
We will be there July 3rd to July 6th, celebrating our anniversary and Mr GTT 50th on the 5th !
We are staying at Le Jardin d’Eden and whilst we’ve been on the scene for quite a few years this will be our first Cape d’Age trip.
We’d love to hear people’s top 5 experiences we have to do whilst there?
And if your there when we are and fancy meeting up feel free to drop us a message or a wink.

We are in Cap from 15th-22nd July. Look out for our Portuguese and Scottish bunting at our apartment overlooking Waiki. I think it’s 10th visit for me. Drop me a message if you’re looking to meet.

"We fly in tomorrow from Stansted. Anyone else on our flight?
Staying on Rene Oltra campsite for 16 days. Love meeting for drinks at Croc Med "
You’ll be lucky in that. They don’t serve wine or beer or currently bread. You’ll have to go Le Troquet de Rene by the entrance for wine and beer and cocktails. They also do meals. |

Oh no, that was our favourite place to go 😢 The front areas are all very nice, but don't have the same chilled, friendly vibe with other campers 😒 |

"Guys where the closest airport to camp d"
As the previous post says, Béziers airport is the closest, but not a lot of airlines fly in.
Montpellier is the next closest (about an hour by taxi/car or you can take the train to Agde station, then taxi or bus to naturist village). I usually fly into Montpellier since I'm connecting from Paris (from the US) and so usually go with Air France which doesn't seem to (often?) fly to Béziers. Marseille is also an option but it's a lot further away (2+ hours by car).
I'm flying in this year to Marseille and then taking the train to Agde station.
Another option is flying to Paris or anywhere on the TGV fast train line and then taking the TVG to Agde station. It's quite fast. |

We popped by yesterday. Most people eating.
No wine, only cans or bottles for beers, no glasses to put them in.
Place used to be full of people drinking cold Rosé and draught beer. It was a place to chat and get to know people and the heart of the campsite. So disappointing 😞 |

Feedback to the campsite that you are really disappointed that the Croq is no longer a proper bar!
The campsite want you to drink at Le Troquet, but that's a completely different atmosphere to the Croq!
I am sure they will see their turnover is massively down and hopefully revert to the original Croq.
Great place for a beer on the way back from the beach. Good interaction between different nationalities, surely that's what the campsite want?
It was really quiet in June and we are back out in August/Sept so we will feedback to the campsite.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!! |

Exactly our feelings and we will try to give feedback but I doubt they will take any notice. They have their plans for the place and probably worked out what works out profit wise rather than what the campers enjoy 😔 |

They will definitely see a massive reduction in turnover at the Croq.
You can go to the wine shop next door and buy vino to drink at the Croq.
It's all a bit weird, create a nice bar and then basically close it as a bar!
Feedback on external websites could help as well - they will definitely monitor.
Have a fab stay in Rene Oltra - still an amazing campsite! 😍 |

How hot is it? We are there soon x"
I am not there, but if you both wanted a social tomorrow before you go. Id be happy to chat about all sorts of things. Not for anything else just a social. |
