Hi there
Although we live locally we visit often in and out of season. Ideally staying inside the village if you want full on experience but this is very expensive
Camping can lower costs, if you are looking to see more of countryside stay just outside and get day passes, maybe book a few nights in village (Riad is good) and a nice B&B close by and sort of commute ? I just think.inside the village is very expensive unless you come off season ( we met some great couples in Sept , we are lucky we run a B&B about an hour away so have a flexible work pattern to visit

This could get to be like War and Peace but I'll keep it as short as I can.
A lot would depend on your personal preferences and what you want to get out of the place.
Which is the best month?
May into early June will be reasonably busy at the weekends but will be quiet midweek, ditto from mid September onward. Also you will miss out on the foam and pool parties in those periods. Mid July through August is the busiest time and the place is rammed but it is also the most expensive and can be very hot.
We prefer late June into early July, it's busy enough including midweek, everything is open, and we very rarely get bad weather.
Campsite or apartment?
For price the campsite would be your best option but it would depend on whether you like camping or not (we don't) The location of the site is very handy for the swinger section of the beach but (especially at the far end) can be quite a walk from the nightlife. Most apartments are bang in the middle of it (especially Port Ambonne and Port Nature) and the few that are not are only a very short walk away.
We've never stayed in the hotels there but we do know that they are very expensive (especially Ozz Inn)
There are also the two dedicated swinger complexes (Jardin Eden and Jardin Babylon) again we've never stayed in either. Both are expensive but Babylon is the venue for the pool parties so residents get first shot at the sunbeds.

Not the best time to visit - the resort is like a ghost town. Lots of work being done in apartments etc so can be noisey. Suggest an umbrella as opposed to a parasol. Good luck. Weekends are better. |

Late June/early July is our favourite time.
I wouldn't worry too much about the parasol. If you are renting an apartment then most usually have one (or more) either provided by the owner or that others have left behind.
If not the it would be much better to buy one then leave it there. Probably the Green Bazaar in Heliopolis would be the best bet.
If you are renting one of the beach sunbeds at Le Galion then you will also be able to rent a parasol. We've never used them so we don't really know the cost but this is Cap d'Agde so it won't be cheap.
You could also get lucky and your agent might give you one of the French swinger site sponsored ones. |

Early Sept is a great time for a first visit. Everything still open and working fine, except the foam parties at Le Glamour.
You can be naked 24/7 if you wish but we've noticed it's becoming more 'clothes optional' over the past few years.
Everyone dresses up for an evening out, you'd be the odd ones out if still naked.
Ladies dress in a whole variety of outfits, from smart and sexy to completely wild. And I mean wild...
Every year we sit at a 'people watching' bar and think we've seen it all.
Two minutes later, we're going "Wow, look at that outfit...!!"
There's always somewhere to buy new clothes ladies, so bring whatever you like and be prepared to add to the wardrobe while you're here.

Airbnb is good. Can normally get a place for a reasonable price. We booked two last year in May and September and paid approximately £50 per night. Both were excellent.

Hi. As a single guy you can have just as good a time as a couple ( or even more so as you are not accountable to anyone. However for success the normal rules of engagement apply ( good manners etc ).
You are lucky to be so should have plenty of choice .
The downside is that no matter how you wish to address it Cap is an expensive place.
For a basic apartment expect to pay between £250 per week in the very basic season to £700 in the high season. These are very basic 15 sq metre apartments . Accommodation outside the gate is a lot cheaper but less convenient.
To enjoy yourself you will need To budget for at least 50 Euro per day for club entry . The good news is that the Sauna is simply a sex club which is open from 2 pm daily. On a good day you may be lucky and have up to 4 women. Women seeking to be gang banged tend to do fairly early in the afternoon. Not ever day in the Sauna will be a success story. On some days it might be flooded with men so you are fighting a losing battle.
Apart from the cost you have little to lose by going . The cost would of course be less painful if you can find a lady to share the trip with you.
For a first visit maybe try mid September. It is past the peak season and still reasonably busy.
Good luck in whatever you decide .

Port Nature is a great location and slightly more expensive than the other parts . If you value a good nights rest after having your fun you might want to check how far away your apartment is from some of the clubs.
The apartments on offer will range from 15 sq metres to the super luxurious. Before committing to renting any apartment ask to see pictures and check that they are up to date.
If it is your first visit treat it as a learning curve .
Port Nature has about 8 different blocks of apartments ranging from 1 to 8. If you know the first number of the apartment which you propose to rent some members on here will be able to advise of location .
June is one of the best months to go .

From the harbour entrance to the start of Marseillan Plage (way past the end of the campsite) is 100% naturist.
What is known as the "Baie des Cochons" is the unofficial swinger section. It starts at the lifeguard lookout station (roughly level with the far end of the campsite) and runs for around a couple of hundred metres.
It's easy to spot because as you walk down the beach you will see people quite widely spaced along the beach. Then suddenly, as you pass the Paralia beach bar, everyone is almost (in some cases actually ) on top of each other. The sharp eyed ones can even spot it on Google maps/earth.
BTW. If you want to get to know your way around a little before you go. The Google street view cars have been through the village so you can do a virtual walk around. |

I would just add that the whole village is naturist although, sadly, there are too many who do keep their clothes on these days.
Part of the attraction of Cap is to be naked all day. Go to the supermarket, bank, bakery Etc. and do it naked.
At night the ladies will strut their stuff in their sexiest (and often most revealing) outfits and knickerless is pretty much de rigueur.
They even have a sign at the entrance to the Melrose saying that they are not allowed.
Just a note for the guys. At night you will be fine wearing shorts in the bars. However if you want to go on to a club you will need some smart/casual trousers.
And a final note for everyone.

Hi .
You will find everything in Cap is close together so everything is within walking distance .
I assume that you are flying Manchester to Beziers so you will need to either get two buses from the airport to the village ( cost 2,50 Euro ) or a taxi 35 Euro . There is no such thing as a taxi rank at the airport so best to book one in advance .
To access the village you will need to buy gate passes ( proof of your accommodation is required ) . If you enter by taxi or car you can probably avoid the cost of purchasing passes as the taxi driver will have a residents pass . However note that if you do not buy passes you will be unable to leave the village .
Once settled in your accommodation you will need to buy supplies . There are three supermarkets in the village ( note that they do not open late ) .
For things to do , you have the choice of two saunas ( one opens at mid day , the other at 2 pm ) . These are simply sex clubs here most things go . Sauna Hamman has private rooms , a glory hole , a cage , stream room , pool and some very public play areas . Remember you bring your own condoms as the clubs ones are not always ready accessible in all the public area in the club.
There is an adult cinema open from 10 pm in Port Ambonne , If you are into bondage your club is Clair Obscur ( entry is quite expensive )
Restaurants provide good value mid day fixed price menus . Try Maxines in Port Ambonne or Joys in Port Soleil ( or the cafes close to Joys ) .
For music Pilouterie bar has nightly live music and is a great location for people watching . Maxines bar is also good ( the clientele are mainly French )
There is a good choice of clubs . A simple walk around the village will let you see what is available .
If you simply need to pass some time visit the swingers beach . However do not leave anything unattended there as items do get stolen ( I know this from personal experience having had my bag stolen ) . Sadly not everyone in Cap is honest . I am aware of a few instances where people have accessed apartments via keys which they should not have obtained )
Once you have arrived in Cap , as everything is closely spaced together you will be able to plan your week easily .

If the weather is good you might find they run at weekends. They are daily by the end of June through July and August. |

There isn't a fixed date as such but that early in June is very unlikely.
As said above, it will be weather dependent and maybe only at the weekends to start with.
If you are there for 2 weeks you might get lucky towards the end. |
