But it's only a Spoonerism if the translated version exists.

Take these two examples as the words don't work nor do they exist

The classic spoonerism is the phrase...

Mad as a Hatter.

Change it to...

Had as a Matter

That works, as it still makes sense, but not inventing new words which has no effect at all!
