Totally unrelated, but have you fellow puzzlers seen the release of a new book today? The Treasure of the Entante Cordiale? Looks interesting! A real life treasure hunt! There's an article about it on the Guardian website. I'd love it if a group of British swingers found the UK key, and some French swingers got the one in France. Now THAT would be a party when we met up to share the spoils

It's like geocaching! There are loads around, including puzzle ones in town and city centres. Which is more my style... I don't like to be too far away from a hot pasty or a cold pint on my days off

Wyclef Jean is a Haitian rapper, then remove the Jean (trouser) to leave Wyclef which sounds like Wycliffe the Cornish police drama

I spent ages on the sodding herb one ...... never even THOUGHT of it being an anagram.

Am I being a baby about this ? And if I am can't you just give the baby it's way and say (anagram )

The word "irrational" was a clue to it being an anagram. Any phrase to do with mixed up, twisted, scrambled etc can be used.
