Access to FAB when out and about

When we are out and about we often like to log on to see who is around. To do this we might ask in a cafe for the WiFi code.

It seems that recently the WiFi code will give us internet but it won't allow us access to FAB.

Is this a settings issue on our phone or a restriction placed by the cafe or pub itself?

Many public WiFi won't allow access to adult 18+ sites, you could try a VPN or use your own Data.

Thank you.

We realised we’d added my mobile phone to our Utility Warehouse bundle. They automatically add restrictions to the phone access!

I’m sure a few minutes using your mobile data wouldn’t bust the bank and yes mist free WiFi comes with restrictions but you would be amazed at those that don’t.

VPN yes but the good ones you need to pay for.

Couple days late but there is a decent freevpn works perfect for 18+ sites but I don't know if I can mention as it might be against rules.

I wouldn't dream of using FAB on WiFi in a cafe

Surely there is a record of sites accessed?

Not that anybody is likely to view them, but they have to be there for their liabilities from providing the connection.

But back to the original question, yes, many public WiFi block sites.

One I use blocks games as it hogs the bandwidth.

Some innocuous sites also get mistakenly blocked.
