I've tried the post code of my hotels, but neither beginning of code, end of code, or whole code allows a location to be found.

If you change location to Ireland you will be able to search

You can't search Ireland by postcode.

You have to change your location to Ireland from the search page where it says searching UK, change now.

Then you can only search by county not postcode.
