Forum thread being deleted

Southampton/isle of wight/ everywhere

Earlier today, a thread was started inviting members to chat about their wives or girlfriends. This went on to gain about 30 or so responses, all of which that I read were above board. Then the thread disappeared.

Later today, I started a new thread on the same topic. And again the responses seemed to be quite above board. This too has disappeared.

Can someone please explain why these threads may have been deleted? I can understand if an individual post may have breached the rules, but surely that individual post can be removed rather than deleting an entire thread?

Perhaps you've answered your own question.

The very nature of that type of thread is likely to attract those who will offer to also share photos of said wives and girlfriends, often without their consent.

Admin have asked us to remove these threads because inevitably photos are shared and there's no way of knowing if the women concerned have consented.
