Blocked messages

Someone messaged me and in their message was something I would call seriously inappropriate. I've then had a notification saying that I was blocked from messaging.
How am I blocked not them ? |

It doesn't matter about the context if you used a banned word you will get a 2 hour automatic block. |

They were probably blocked too unless you used different words . As the pop up says , the block lifts after a couple of hours. |
