Hi,

Is it possible to delete an entire message conversation at both ends so a new thread can be started without the old messages re-appearing?

a village near Haywards Heath in East Sussex

Why would you want to do that ? The other person might want to see the original conversation .

No and I dont see why you'd want to.

I know seems odd but actually it was something agreed between both ends of the conversation. Clean slate to re-start a conversation.

I dont think it's possible to delete the entire thing , but surely if both sender and recipient are in agreement they can just declare it a clean slate and opt not to look back in the conversation?

Exactly and after a few new messages the old ones drop off the bottom and can be looked at anyway.
