am I banned from chat?!

I am able to get into chat, like I was the other night....except now whenever I type nothing appears...Have I been banned,,, (again)? I'd like to be told why if so....thnk you

You have no ban.

Clear your cache/ update your flash player and try using Firefox if you are not already doing so to see if any of those fix it.
