Upgrading by text message

Hey all,

We wanna upgrade again. My guy wants to do it by text which I've never done before.

I know it's not always the best idea to take much heed of secondhand "news" but I heard via a friend that members on the Giffgaff network have had issues upgrading this way.

Her theory was that the combination of it being a 'premium' text service to access an 'adult' service, may raise a red flag to GG to then restrict your access to adult services altogether, until you prove your age to them. This happened to me before on EE (not Fab related!) and it was a real headache to resolve!

Has anyone here had any similar issues?

I'd like hear about how to sort it out, if any one can help me

Hi my last upgrade my friend had to do it for me..im o2. They said i dnt have enough credit to pay. However it usually just comes off my monthly bill. I cant think of any reason why its a problem. But i suggest giving it a go..if your network blocks it..you wont get charged. X
