Just had a couple of messages, where I have been messaged, and there reply disappeare,

Have they left site, or blocked me?

Not blocked, remembered one had sent a friend request, it's there, and I can see the profile, but there message to me, and mine to them have just disappeared?

Try switiching back to the old message system - sometimes the messages hide in the new version.
