Is there no way to set some sort of privacy thing. Fed up of hassle when I've read a message or looked at someone and not replied straight away.

You can hide your profile.

You can set your profile to not show in 'who looked at me'.

You can set filters to stop various profile types from messaging you.

Most problems are solved with a combination of the above.

You can also mark messages as 'unread' after reading them.
