Who's Mobile Nearby

I don't seem to be able to search using the "Who's Mobile Nearby" function.

I am using Firefox on an Android phone. I have also tried this on Chrome with the same results.

I get the message "Your phone couldn't tell us your current location. It might be that you've not given it permission to."

I have followed the help link and the first step is "At the bottom of your screen, tap the 2nd button from the left, the Android "menu" button (three horizontal lines)." There is no button with three horizontal lines.

The nearest I can see to the Fab instructions are by going to Android Settings - Security and privacy - Location access. This is set to On.

Can anybody help?

Have you gone to 'Settings'

and then

'Apps'

and then

'Permissions' then

'Location'

You then should see a list of apps that have the option of location access and use. Yoy could check Firefox and Chrome, as well as any other browser that you want to use.

Any kind of private browser mode on. Settings in your phone or computer hiding your location. Privacy settings check

Some people say that if they clear the cookies from the browser or uninstall then reins from the Play store, that it may help. Ideally you'd only remove the fab cookie, as deleting them for all sites could be a fair hassle, having to re-enter them.
